3 NOTES TO KNOW
- Simonsen posted a school-record four straight rounds in the 60s with his opening 66 today. The last time with three in a row prior to his performance in Memphis was Chris Robb '14 (69-63-67) at the 2014 Southern Conference Championships (final 36) and NCAA Eugene Regionals (1st).
- Simonsen has five straight par or better cards. Last time with five or more par or better cards was current PGA TOUR member Stephan Jaeger '12 in 2012 with eight in a row from the LSU National Invite through the NCAA Bowling Green Regionals win. He shot 28 under over that stretch. Simonsen is 26 under in his last four rounds.
- Brault chipped in for eagle on the par 4 12th hole after nearly driving the green. It was the 11th of his career, which is tied for seventh all-time in UTC history with former teammate Wes Gosselin '16 and Jaeger.
