RESULTS | ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
LOUISVILLE---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team saved its best for last shooting 299 Sunday to tie for 10th at the Cardinal Classic. The 299 was the sixth-lowest team score of the day and 12th out of 42 tallies over the two-day event at UofL Golf Club.
The total was led by Maddy McDanel and Dorota Zalewska with twin 74s. Michaela Kulhankova added 75 along with Monica San Juan's 76. Rheagan Hall had the drop score of 78.
That put Chattanooga at 937 tied with Richmond just four behind Western Kentucky in ninth. Murray State was 12th at 941 followed by UAB (956) and Ball State (975).
Illinois was the wire-to-wire winner at 863. Maryland was a distant second at 882. The Illini's Tristyn Nowlin claimed medalist honors at 6 under.

- Zalewska carded the first eagle of the season with a three on the par 5 fourth hole.
- 299 tied for the fourth-best team score in 2018-19. Also shot 299 in opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championships on Sept. 21.
- Key to the round? The counting cards marked just one score higher than bogey over the final 18. There were 13 over the first two rounds.
