- The Mocs posted an 83-65 win over VMI in McKenzie Arena today … UTC improves to 5-5 overall and 1-0 in SoCon action while the Keydets drop to 5-6 and 0-1 in league play.

- UTC's next SoCon game is Dec. 29 at UNCG. 

- The Mocs won their opening SoCon game for the sixth time in the last seven years … Mocs are 24-18 in SoCon openers … 14-6 at home.   

- UTC improves to 43-14 all-time against VMI … 22-4 at home … VMI had won three of four in the series, including the last two in Chattanooga.

- Mocs were 13-34 (38.2%) from behind the arc … tied for most threes made this season (Tennessee Tech) and second-most attempts … third time with 10+ made … 26-63 (41.3%) last two games. 

- Shot 16-30 (53.3%) from inside the arc.

- Season-high 20 assists on 29 baskets … 19+ assists in each of last three games … 58 total in the three-game home stand.

- Season-high six shots blocked. 

- Mocs only committed eight turnovers … second lowest total of the season (7 vs. Cumberland).

- Season-high six rebounds.
- Added two points on 1-5 shooting.
- Season-high 29 minutes off the bench.

Kevin Easley – Fr.-F
- Game-high 26 points … most by a Moc this season.
- Most points by a UTC freshman in nearly 39 years…Randy Henry tallied 26 in a 90-75 win over Davidson on Feb. 4, 1980.
- Shot 10-15 from the field … 2-3 from three point range and 4-4 from the FT line.
- Tied for game-high with a team-high and season-high eight boards.
- Season-high two blocks.
- Added two assists.

David Jean-Baptiste – So.-G
- 18 points on 7-14 shooting, 3-8 from three and 1-2 from the FT line.
- Season-high five assists.
- Season-high six rebounds.
- Double-figures in three-straight games … four of last five.
- 19-36 (52.8%) from the field last three games.

Jerry Johnson, Jr. – Jr.-G
