GM2 | Chattanooga 11, Samford 6
After a scoreless two and a half innings, Samford broke the tie with a one-out sacrifice fly to left field from Kathryn Jackson to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs would hold on to the one run advantage until the top of the fifth when Chattanooga busted out for six runs on four hits. Katie Corum and Cameren Swafford led the innings off with back-to-back walks before Amy Lewis advanced them with a sacrifice bunt.

Hayleigh Weissenbach delivered with a line-drive single off the first baseman's glove to bring in a run and tie things up 1-1. A walk and fielder's choice allowed for the bases to be loaded with two outs. Brook Womack smoked a two-RBI single down the third base line to put the Mocs ahead 3-1.

Emma Sturdivant followed with an RBI single through the right side to bring in Aly Walker, who slid around the tag at the plate to push the lead to 4-1. Morgan Kazerooni would add a two-RBI single with the bases full, extending Chattanooga's lead to 6-1.

Samford answered right back in the home half of the inning. The Bulldogs plated five runs on five hits to tie the game back up at 6-6.

After a scoreless sixth inning, Chattanooga put up another crooked number, this time in the top of the seventh. The Mocs scored five runs on three hits to build a sizeable lead. Sturdivant drove in the go-ahead runs with a two-RBI single down the right field line to give UTC an 8-6 advantage.

J.J. Hamill entered the game as pinch-hitter with two outs and two runners on and delivered a three-run homerun over the wall in left center to extend the lead to 11-6.

Starting pitcher Celie Hudson (6-9) shut the Bulldogs down in the final frame to earn the win. She tossed a complete game and allowed ten hits, six earned runs and five walks while striking out five.

Chattanooga registered eight hits from six different players during the win. Sturdivant led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, adding three RBI and a run scored. Womack finished 1-for-2 with two RBI while Kazerooni went 1-for-1 with two RBI in her pinch-hit appearance. Hamill picked up three RBI in her only at-bat on a pinch-hit homerun.

GM1 | Samford 15, Chattanooga 2 (5)
Chattanooga came out swinging in the top of the first. Brook Womack continued her offensive rip with a two-out, two-run homerun to left field, scoring J.J. Hamill and giving the Mocs an early 2-0 lead.

It would be all Samford from that point. The Bulldogs plated five runs, three earned, in the bottom of the second after a pair of fielding errors continued the inning.

They would add a pair of runs in the third on a two-out RBI triple before scoring eight runs on just three hits and one Mocs error in the fourth, extending their lead to 15-2.

Chattanooga registered only three hits in the loss while leaving five on base. Ashley Conner finished 2-for-2 with a pair of singles while Womack ended 1-for-2 with a homerun and two RBI.

Allison Swinford (5-9) suffered the loss in the circle while Heidi Hall and Alexa Veamoi entered the game in relief work.
