Women’s Golf Starts SoCon Championships Sunday

Cristina Perez and the Chattanooga Mocs head to Hilton Head, S.C., for the 2018 Southern Conference Championships opening play Sunday at Moss Creek Golf Club.

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs have enjoyed an enviable run of success at the Southern Conference Women's Golf Championships. They look to continue it beginning play Sunday at Moss Creek Golf Club.
Moss Creek's North Course was the site of five straight titles for the program from 2010-14 and it hosted six years overall including 2009. The field returns to the club again; this time employing the South Course to crown this year's champion.
Outside of the five championship years in Hilton Head, the Mocs finished as runners-up in 2009 and then the last three campaigns. It's an amazing stretch unmatched in the league during the program's existence.
The tourney takes the tee Sunday playing 18 holes per day through Tuesday. Access live scoring and pairings on the GoMocs.com women's golf schedule page at the links above. Here's a look at the lineup along with a few extra tidbits for the weekend.
