Mocs Open Fall Season at Austin Peay

UTC competes in two-day tournament in Clarksville, Tenn., Sept. 14-15.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team kicks off the 2018-19 season this weekend at the Austin Peay Fall Tournament. The Mocs compete in the seven-team field in Clarksville, Tenn., on Sept. 14-15.
There are two different singles brackets and two doubles draws. Teams competing include Chattanooga and the host Governors, along with Belmont, Murray State, Central Arkansas, UT Martin, and Southeast Missouri State.
Seniors Delaney Edwards and Caroline Hall will be competing in the first singles bracket along with Sophomore Bogdana Zaporozhets. The second bracket will include two newcomers Polina Goloputova and Anna Didkovskya, along with sophomore Emma Van Hee.
"The team is ready for the first tournament of the year," stated UTC head coach Chad Camper. "Practices have been going well and it's time to take on more challenges. This tournament is full of quality teams so the goal is to improve and increase our quality of tennis."
Edwards and Zaporozhets will be one of the teams competing in the first doubles bracket along with Hall and Goloputova. Senior Annie Tarwater is paired with freshman Anna Didkovskya in the second doubles bracket.
