CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team built a two-set lead in Saturday's match against Furman inside Maclellan Gymnasium before eventually falling, 3-2 (25-27, 16-25, 33-31, 25-23, 15-11), in a wild and dramatic thriller during Southern Conference action.
 
Chattanooga falls to 5-14 overall and 0-6 in league action following the loss. Furman improves its mark to 2-15 overall and 2-4 in the SoCon after successfully fighting off six total UTC match points during the match.

MATCH NOTABLES
- Sophomores Gylian Finch and Maia Rackel teamed up to achieve a feat that hasn't been accomplished in 13 years… each finished with 20 kills to become the first UTC duo with 20+ kills in the same match since 2006.
- Finch finished with 20 kills on 55 total attacks while committing 10 errors to amass a .182% attack percentage… added 10 digs to notch her sixth double-double of the season… also added an ace to mark her third match in the last four with at least one.
- Rackel totaled 20 kills on 39 total attacks while committing just six errors to lead the team with a .359% attacking clip… tied a season-high with five block assists… has at least one block assist in all but five matches this season… eighth match with 2+.
- Junior Maddie Halsey dished out a career-high 52 assists and completed her seventh double-double of the season by adding a career-high 19 digs… chipped in with four kills, an ace and a block assist.

Chattanooga (5-14, 0-6 SoCon) continues SoCon play next Friday night in Spartanburg, S.C., at Wofford before heading to Charleston, S.C., on Saturday to face The Citadel.
