The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team is back in action this week at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals. The tournament is hosted by MTSU and competition takes place Oct. 17-21 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

"The ITA Regionals is always one of the most exciting tournaments of the fall season," stated head coach Chad Camper. "The best players in the Ohio Valley Region are in one place to compete and this tournament will really let us know where we stand."

Representing the Mocs in the A Flight Singles are freshmen Jessie Young and Callie Billman. Young is coming off her title at the Cincinnati/Pam Whitehead Invitational. She is also teaming with junior Emma Van Hee in the A Flight Doubles. Junior Bogdana Zaporozhets and sophomore Polina Goloputova are also in the A Flight Doubles.

Goloputova is the No. 5 seed in the B Flight Singles. She is joined in that bracket by Zaporozhets, Van Hee, sophomore Caroline Gibbens and freshman Grace Anne Dunavant.

Billman and sophomore Lilly Holmes are the No. 3 seed in the B Flight Singles, while Gibbens and Dunavant are also competing as a doubles team.

Competition begins on Thursday with doubles at 10:30 a.m. at the Adams Tennis Complex at MTSU. Be sure check back to GoMocs.com for complete updates after each day of competition.
