TEAM
- The Mocs improved to 3-1 on the year with a 90-72 win over South Alabama.  The Jaguars dropped to 2-2 with the loss.

- South Alabama was the preseason pick to win the Sun Belt Conference.  The Jags just missed pulling off a win against Auburn (70-69) on Tuesday. 

- The Mocs led by as many as 28 tonight. The last time they led a DI opponent by that many was Feb. 2, 2017. UNC Greensboro was the victim in a 23-point triumph. 91-68, but they trailed their hosts by 40, 88-48, on Greg Pryor's falling out of bound 3pt off a steal with 7:39 to go. That play was SportsCenter's No. 1 play in their nightly Top 10.

- 18-point win was the largest against a DI opponent for the Mocs since an 83-65 victory against VMI on Dec. 9, 2018. 

- 90 points are the most for the Mocs against a DI opponent since a 105-96 loss to Western Carolina on Jan. 31 ,2019.

- Most points for the Mocs in a non-conference DI win since a 96-85 victory against Marshall on Dec. 6, 2016. 

- UTC held Trhae Mitchell, the preseason player of the year in the Sun Belt Conference, to just four points on 2-6 shooting. 

- Mocs shot a blistering 54.8% (34-62) from the field and 11-22 (50.0%) from the 3-point line … best shooting percentage for the Mocs since going 56.9% (29-51) against The Citadel on Feb. 8, 2018 … best from three since 52.6% (10-19) against ETSU in the SoCon Tournament last March. 

- Shooting 55 percent (50-91) over last three halves (60 minutes).

- 19 assists on 34 baskets … most assists since 19 at Ole Miss on Dec. 16, 2018. 

- Mocs were led in scoring by David Jean-Baptiste (25) and Matt Ryan (20) … last time UTC had two score 20+ points in the same game was against UNCG on Jan. 29, 2018, when Nat Dixon had 30 and Rodney Chatman added 22.

- UTC won the battle on the board (36-30) for the second time this season.

- Mocs turned 13 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points.

- David Jean-Baptiste hit a three at the halftime buzzer to cap an 8-0 run by the Mocs who took a 41-23 lead into the locker room.

- Career-high and game-high 24 points.
- Shots 10-14 from the field, 5-6 from three.
- Career marks for FGM and 3-pg FGM.
- Tied a season-high with five rebounds.
- Added two assists.
- Raises his season 3-pt. shooting to 50% (12-24).

Matt Ryan – Sr.-F
- 20 points on 7-16 shooting, 4-9 from three and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Second game in a row with 20+ points.
- Added six boards and three assists.

Ramon Vila – So.-F
- Season-high 17 points … one off his UTC career mark.
- Shot 8-14 from the field, 1-3 from the FT line.
- Added six boards … five on the offensive end.
- Career-high four assists.
- Shooting 17-31 (54.8%) from the field for the season.
- Nine offensive boards last two games.
