CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team snapped its losing skid in dramatic fashion and picked up its first Southern Conference victory after battling past The Citadel 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 17-25, 16-14) inside Maclellan Gymnasium on Friday evening.

The win snaps a 17-match losing streak for Chattanooga and improves its season record to 6-22 and league mark to 1-14. The Citadel falls to 10-19 overall and finishes conference play with a 4-12 tally.

MATCH NOTABLES
- Chattanooga snapped its losing skid which reached 17 matches… improves to 6-22 overall and 1-14 in the SoCon… just one regular season match remains before the conference tournament next week.

Gylian Finch recorded a match-high 22 kills at a blistering .373% attack percentage… the attack percentage is her second-highest of the season (.375%)… notched her eighth double-double of the season with 12 digs… totaled four service aces… second match this season with four or more.
- Junior
Megan Kaufman continued her hot defensive stretch and posted a season-high 24 digs… 11
th-straight match with 15 or more digs… moves into 3
rd all-time in program history (post-rally scoring era which began in 2008) with 1,360 career digs.
- Junior
Maddie Halsey dished out a match-high 50 assists… third most in a match this season and third time reaching 50… crosses 900 assists on the season and 1,200 for her career.
- Sophomore
Maia Rackel finished with 11 kills to post her third-straight match in double digits… surpassed 250 kills for the season.
- Seniors
Sarah Root and
Dani Szczepanski each finished with eight kills… Root added 4.0 total blocks in the victory.
