The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team had a three-match winning streak snapped at UNC Asheville today.  The Mocs lost to the Bulldogs 5-2, falling to 3-4 overall.
UNCA (6-0) won the doubles point behind the play of their lead tandem of Oli Nolan and Henry Patten.  Nolan and Patten are the No. 1 ranked duo in the nation in the most recent ITA Rankings.
Chattanooga freshman
Kerim Hyatt and junior
Simon Bustamante drew them in the top spot, battling hard before losing 6-2.  The Bulldogs clinched the doubles point with a win at No. 3.
In singles play, the Mocs got a win from Hyatt at No. 3 and senior
Pablo Llebeili at No. 6.  Hyatt improved to 3-4 in spring action, while Llebeili won for the fourth match in a row.  He is now 4-0 then holding down the No. 6 position.
"Guys played hard in a tough road environment, with the match played on just three courts that were super-fast," stated UTC head coach
Chuck Merzbacher.  "I was proud of the effort and how each guy found a way to get into their match.  Lots to build on from this weekend.
Up next for the Mocs is a trip to Lipscomb on Friday, Feb. 15.  UTC also has two home matches on Sunday, Feb. 17, against North Dakota and Lee.
