The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team posted a 7-0 win at Tennessee State today.  The Mocs swept all nine matches at Hadley Park in Nashville, Tenn.

Chattanooga took the doubles point for the third outing in a row.  Sophomore Bogdana Zaporozhets and freshman Polina Goloputova opened with a 6-1 win at No. 3.  That was followed by a point-clinching victory from senior Annie Tarwater and freshman Lilly Holmes.

Senior Delaney Edwards and sophomore Emma Van Hee closed out the doubles at No. 1, their third in a row in the top spot. 

Holmes opened singles with a (6-1, 6-1) win at No. 4, moving to 5-0 in the spring. Senior Caroline Hall followed with a (6-3, 6-0) win at No. 3, while Zaporozhets clinched the team win at No. 1.  It was her first win at the top of the lineup. 

Goloputova had to battle back after dropping her first set at No. 2, followed by freshman Anna Didkovskaya's win at No. 6.  Van Hee closed out the match with her victory at No. 5.

"I felt like we played a really hard-working team," stated head coach Chad Camper.  "I felt like they really pushed us in some spots.  We were actually down in a few singles matches. 

"Polina lost the first, but to be able to win the second set 6-0 and then win in a super was great.  Anna was down pretty much most of the beginning, but she was able to fight through it."

UTC stays in Nashville for tomorrow's match against Belmont.  The Mocs take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) at the Centennial Sportsplex.    

"We have another tough match tomorrow," continued Camper.  "We play Belmont, who just beat Central Arkansas 4-3.  It is going to be a really good match tomorrow."
