Monica San Juan led the Chattanooga Mocs efforts at the Brickyard Collegiate.

MACON---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team is 11th after 36 holes of the Brickyard Collegiate. The Mocs shot rounds of 297 and 307 for a total of 604.

That puts the squad five shots behind 37th-ranked Kennesaw State in 10th with 599. Notre Dame and Florida Gulf Coast are tied for 12th eight behind Chattanooga at 612.

Monica San Juan's 1-under 71 led the morning 18 for the Mocs. Dorota Zalewska and Kirsty Beckwith followed with 74s while Esme Hamilton chipped in 77.

Beckwith was low in the afternoon with 75. San Juan posted 75 while Hamilton and Zalewska came in with 77 and 79, respectively.

San Juan is tied for 17th at 3 over. Beckwith is two behind in 23rd with 149. Zalewska is next at 153 trailed by Hamilton's 155 and Rheagan Hall at 162.

Host Mercer is the leader at 577. That's one clear of Charlotte in second at 578. The Bears Carol Pyon leads individually at 138.

The Mocs are back on the tee at 8:30 a.m., for a shotgun start. They're matched up with Fighting Irish and FGCU on holes 13-17. Links to today's results, live scoring and parings are above.

3 NOTES TO KNOW

The Mocs played the par 3s and 5s quite well firing 2 under on both hole types. The counters were 32 over on the par 4s.
Zalewska had six of the team's 13 birdies over today's 36 holes. That included a season-high-tying four over the opening 18. The freshman from Poland also had four in the second round of the Cardinal Classic in October.
Beckwith is two strokes out of the top 20. She's looking for her fourth top 20 in five spring outings.
