The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team scored five wins in singles and one in doubles on the second day of the Buck Bouldin Battle of Boro at MTSU today.  Freshman Quinten Nevenhoven led the team with wins in singles and doubles action.

Nevenhoven teamed with junior Jacob Marshall for a 7-6 win over UAB's Parker Bradbury and Giovanni Pasini.  They won the tiebreaker 7-4.

"It was another solid day of quality matches," stated UTC head coach Chuck Merzbacher.  "Everyone is playing hard and getting some much-needed competition.  I really like what I am seeing.

Nevenhoven was impressive in singles play with a straight sets win over South Alabama Ezra Blizzard.  Nevehoven only dropped one game in the win (6-0, 6-1).  Sophomore Tomas Rodriguez defeated the Jaguars' Clement Marzel (7-5, 6-0).

True freshmen got the other wins for the Mocs.  Peyton Gatti beat MTSU's Oskar Michalek (6-4, 6-4), while Jordan McClure defeated Philip Bosman (6-3, 6-3).

The Mocs wrap up play in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Sunday with an 9:00 a.m. (E.D.T.) first serve.  A link for live video of court 1-6 is available on the men's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
