The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team scored one win in singles and doubles action on the opening day of the Dale Short Shootout at MTSU.  The Mocs faced the host-Blue Raiders in most of their matches today.

Freshman Peyton Gatti and sophomore Kerim Hyatt scored a 6-0 doubles win over Tom Moonen and Oskar Michalek.  Both Michalek and Moonen have All-CUSA honors on their resumes. 

Sophomore Tomas Rodriguez posted in the singles win, a three setter over Stijn Slump.  Slump was the 2019 C-USA Freshman of the Year, and Rodriguez needed a third set tiebreaker to get the win (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7).
