Katie Burrows, Head Coach

On what was the difference following a slow start.
"I think what happens, and true for a lot of folks, the first few possessions, we were moving the ball well and getting good looks, but they just weren't falling. At that point, a lot of people try to take things on themselves and you have to trust the process. I think the group that came in following that did a good job of trusting that process and continuing to move the ball and get good looks. They just have to trust each other and trust the nature of the offense."

On the play from Brooke Hampel.
"She has figured out who Brooke Hampel is with the UTC Mocs. She was timid the first game we played against UAB and then did a few good things in the second half and some more good things at Troy. Then today, she just went in there and did her thing. I didn't have to force it out of her. I think she's just comfortable now. When you sit out a whole year and then everything that went on with COVID and the uncertainties, I think you just have to get settled in and she's doing that now."

On avoiding early foul trouble [Eboni Williams].
"Any time one of your starters goes out with foul trouble early in the game, it can be pretty deflating. I think I set the tone pretty early with her in getting in foul trouble the first two games and sitting her down. She just needed to understand that she can play a little more freely but also has to play a little bit smarter. Those ticky-tack fouls 94 feet from the basket can't happen, and she understands that. She does so many good things for us and we need her to be on the floor for us."

On driving and kicking on offense, creating high quality shots.
"They did a good job, and now it's just recognizing when it's your shot to take and when to kick. On the flip side, it puts you in good position for offensive rebounds. There's a lot more opportunities for that and you saw the depth. I got to play a lot of people a lot of minutes and hopefully we're still fresh for Sunday."

Eboni Williams, Jr.-F
On avoiding early foul trouble.
"The most wonderful feeling ever. I feel like I did a really good job of keeping my hands up, moving my feet, and staying really active on defense."

On the depth of the team making an impact today.
"That was very important because almost everyone on our team scored today. That's dangerous to guard for any team because you don't know who could have the hot hand that day. We have to keep the same energy and keep the offense slow, while staying active and communicating on defense."

On the play from Brooke Hampel.
"Brooke did really well. She's really confident in herself and she needed that breakout game. Today was that game.

Brooke Hampel, R-So.-G
On what was the key, individually, on a stellar performance tonight.
"Just to create and create shots for other people. I wanted to drive, attack and play good defense. I really just wanted to help my team in doing anything they needed me to do. I've been working hard and taking every opportunity I can to try and get to the basket and score."

On moving forward with momentum.
"After coming off a win like this, a team win, it can really help us play as a team again on Sunday against Vanderbilt. We had really good energy as a group tonight so if we can just carry that over, it'll really help."

On the importance of coming off the bench.
"Obviously when we come off the bench, we want to be effective and help our team, but picking up the energy is key when coming off the bench. We all really do pride ourselves in that area."
