TEAM
- The Mocs scored a 74-72 Senior Day win over UNCG in McKenzie Arena today.  The Mocs will be the No. 6 seed in next week's Southern Conference Tournament with a 19-12 overall record and 10-8 mark in league play.  UNCG improved to 23-8 and 13-5 in SoCon action.

- Final home game for seniors Matt Ryan and Jonathan Scott. 

- The two teams meet again in the SoCon Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7, at 8:30 p.m. (E.S.T.) in Asheville, N.C.

- 25-22 in the all-time series … 15-7 in McKenzie Arena … snapped a four-game losing streak in the series … last win was an 87-85 (2OT) victory on Jan. 29, 2018.

- UTC had four turnovers in the first 4:33 of play against UNCG's pressing defense … down 13-2 at the 14:27 mark of the first half. 

- Battled back to take a 40-37 halftime lead … 16-4 when leading at the break this season.

- Finished the game with just 11 turnovers … had 19 in the 73-53 loss at UNCG on Jan. 18. 

- UTC shot 28-57 (49.1%) from the floor and 10-20 (50.0%) from three … best 3-pt. FG% since 17-31 (54.8%) against Samford on Jan. 11 … third game this season (South Alabama) hitting 50% or better from three … 12th game with 10+ threes.

- Tied a season-high (at Florida State) with five blocked shots. 

- UNCG was 12-29 (41.4%) from three … most threes allowed by UTC this season … most since allowing 14 vs. Western Carolina last season (1/31/19). 

- Mocs are 3-1 in games decided by three points or less. 

- UTC was outrebounded (36-34) for the third game in a row and the fourth time in last five outings. 

- Nine steals for the Mocs is the most in SoCon play this season.

INDIVIDUAL
Maurice Commander – So.-G
- Eight points on 3-6 shooting, 2-3 from three.
- Tied for team-high with four assists and just one turnover.

Rod Johnson – Jr-F
- Seven points on 2-4 shooting, 1-1 from three and 2-4 from the FT line.
- Most points since scoring 18 at Wofford on Feb. 8.
- Added six boards and a steal.
- Most rebounds since grabbing six a Wofford.

Matt Ryan – Sr.-G/F
- 15 points and a game-high eight boards.
- Tied for team-high with four assists.
- Shot 5-11 from the field, 3-8 from three and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Eighth time leading the team in rebounding.

Jonathan Scott – Sr.-G/F
- Hit only three taken.
- Added two boards.
- Mocs were +8 in the 17 minutes he was on the court. 

Ramon Vila – Jr-F
- Tied for game-highs with 21 points.
- Shot 10-15 from the field … 1-1 from the FT line.
- Fourth game with 20+ points … all this season … third in the last six games.
- 10 FGs made tied a career-high and tied for the most by a Moc this season.
- Averaging 18.3 ppg over the last six games … 67.1% from the field during that stretch.   
- Five steals are a career-high and the most by a Moc this season … most since Jerry Johnson had 5 vs. Hiwassee on Nov. 27, 2018 … most vs. a DI opponent since Tre' McLean had five vs. Marshall on Dec. 12, 2016 … most in a SoCon game since Dee Oldham had six vs. Western Carolina on March 6, 2016.
- Career-high three blocks … only had eight coming into the game.
