Why did you decide to join the Mocs Club and support Chattanooga Athletics?
We were just occasional basketball fans when we moved to Chattanooga in 1975, but Annie and I couldn't help but get caught up in the excitement of Mocs basketball. The teams were exciting to watch and the energy inside Big Mac was electric. Our commitment to Mocs athletics was sealed when Coach Shumate and the Mocs brought the Division II national championship trophy home to Chattanooga. We've been season ticket holders ever since.

What is your favorite memory as a Mocs fan?
The Mocs run to the Sweet 16 in 1997 is one of my favorite memories of Mocs basketball. The team played its first round in Charlotte. To be honest, we never thought we'd beat Georgia so we just planned a day-trip for that game. Two days later, we were off to Charlotte again. Nothing beats the memory of beating Illinois and advancing to the Sweet 16. Luckily for us, the next round was even closer - in Birmingham - so we drove down for the game against Providence which the Mocs lost by just 6 points.

What are some of your interests outside of Chattanooga Athletics?
Transportation safety, American political history, community service as well as supporting my grandchildren in their growth.

What would you tell others in the Chattanooga community to get them involved in the Mocs Club and supporting Chattanooga Athletics?
Whenever you decide to support Chattanooga athletics in any sport, you'll make a lifetime of memories.  My wife Annie and I watched one of the all-time great Coaches, Murray Arnold use the hardwood to mold boys into men.
We saw the great Terrell Owens play basketball for the Mocs during the offseason of his great football career.
We suffered through four seasons of losses to Steph Curry and his Davidson teammates. We've met wonderful people and forged life-long friendships with fellow Mocs supporters. We took our daughters to games before they were in Kindergarten and now we enjoy the games with our grandchildren.

Favorite Place to eat in Chattanooga and favorite dish?
The filet at Hennen's can not be beat!

If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be and why?
Benjamin Franklin because he was the glue that put our nation together.

Who is your favorite Moc of all time, player or coach?
Coach Murray Arnold. He was the architect that turned the Mocs into a mid-major powerhouse.
