SCHEDULE | ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf program tees off next Monday at its own Scenic City Collegiate. The event is on the Honors Course and the final round is being produced by the school's MocsVision staff on ESPN3.

"It's exciting," Coach Mark Guhne began. "How many college golf events are on ESPN every year? More importantly, how many of those are school productions?
 
"It shows the strong commitment from our administration to this program."

The focus is the 18th hole. The crew also has access to the pivotal par 3 16th as well as the tee area on 17. Chris Goforth and Scott Altizer serve as the broadcast team.

It's the fourth collegiate event played at the prestigious club. The Honors hosted the 1996 and 2010 NCAA Championships along with the 2006 Scenic City Invitational. There are several precautions in place due to the current COVID-19 crisis.

There are 10 teams total competing with all squads staying on site at the club. Each squad is comprised of six players with the best four scores counting. The teams play in groups of three with their own teammates to limit interaction between teams as much as possible. No spectators or volunteers are allowed on the course during the event.

A complete preview for the event is scheduled to release on Friday.
