On the preparation of the team this week

I'm fighting for that consistency. It's never going to easy and it's never going to be perfect. We got this done today by having the best week of practice since the start of camp. That's what gave us the opportunity to win today.

On the team's energy today

It was good like it should be. We only get so many rounds on this good Earth and so many opportunities to go play football. Each one of them are precious and you have to take advantage of it. We went out there today and talked about playing one snap at a time. I told them I'll worry about the scoreboard, you worry about playing. I'll be honest with you, I don't know if I saw one of them look at the scoreboard.

On Maxwell and the pass rush

"He's a different guy. He didn't play that many snaps in the first half. We know they can't always double him. Those tackles that ETSU has are big dudes. I thought we rushed the passers really well today."

"I just keep working. Calls don't always go my way, but I rely on my technique late in the game. I guess you can say I wait for them to get tired and then I use my technique."
