ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
KIAWAH ISLAND---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team made it through 30-34 of 36 holes today at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. The ladies shot 294 over the opening 18 and were 6 over when play was suspended due to darkness.
Dorota Zalewska continued her strong play. She's tied for fifth through 18 after 3-under 69.
Beatriz Barrios was next with 73 which is one better than
Esme Hamilton's 74.
Carolina Hortian contributed 78 as
Megan Docherty's 83 was dropped.
Hamilton is leading the way through 16 holes of the second round. Her 1 under is one better than Zalewska's even after 15. Barrios is also through 16 and is 3 over with Hortian 4 over after 12.
North Florida led the early round with 278. The Ospreys are 3 under as a team in the afternoon. Sam Houston's Zulakah Nasser is the individual at 8 under after a first round 68 and sitting at 4 under through 15.
The field returns to the course in the morning to complete round two and continue in the same groups for the final 18. Pairings, when available, are listed at the scoring link above.
