KIAWAH ISLAND---They say "save the best for last". Well, "they" say lots of things, but the Chattanooga Mocs saved their best for the final round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate while sophomore Beatriz Barrios navigated her top 18 holes of the fall.

The Mocs 4-over 292 tied for the low round of the day with host College of Charleston. That gave the group a 54-hole total of 882 which vaulted Chattanooga into seventh, two ahead of Southern Conference-rival UNC Greensboro in eighth at 884.
 
Barrios led the way with a 1-under 71. That was one better than Esme Hamilton's level-par 72. Carolina Hortian added 74 with a 75 completing the card. Megan Docherty had the drop score of 78.
 
Zalewska and Hamilton registered top 10s on the number. The talented duo tied for 10th at even (216). Zalewska ends the fall even overall through 12 cards. Barrios moved up to a tie for 19th at 219. Hortian shot 231, while Docherty came in at 242.
 
North Florida cruised to the team win with 856. South Florida was runner-up at 867. Zulaikah Nasser from Sam Houston won medalist honors with 206.
 
"Obviously not the finishwe were hoping for going into the tournament, but we did play well in the last round," Coach Colette Murray explained. "We are seeing so many positives about this team. We are encouraged by each player both individually and what each brings to the team day to day. I'm so happy about that."
