- Chattanooga Mocs tackled a 13-3 victory against Furman on Homecoming in Southern Conference play at Finley Stadium...UTC is 5-3, 4-1 in the league…the Paladins are 4-4 overall, 2-3 in the SoCon.
- 60-28-3 on Homecoming…2-0 under
Rusty Wright…2-1 vs Furman…all three have come in the last eight years: 2013 (31-9) and 2017 (17-41) before today.
- 4-1 record in the SoCon standings is tied for second with ETSU and VMI…the trio is a half-game behind Mercer at 5-1.
- 69-62 all-time at Finley Stadium…4-10 against Furman.
- Fourth quarter scoring drive that ended in a 38-yard
Aaron Sears field goal was the longest this season by plays (16) and time of possession (8:53)…the TOP on the Mocs three scoring drives (18:28) was just 1:44 less than the Paladins possessed all game (20:12)…UTC's second-half total was 20:55.
- Defense intercepted its 14th pass on the season…most since 17 in 2017.
- There was a moment of silence before the game in memory of Joe Lee Dunn. Dunn, a defensive innovator during his coaching career, was a Little All-America performer during his Mocs playing career before coaching as an assistant under Joe Morrison in the 70's leading the program into the Southern Conference with titles in 1977, 1978 & 1979.

- Season-low 47 yards passing for an opponent…gave up just 52 at UNA…fewest since The Citadel in the spring with 27 on March 6...fewest against a team actually trying to throw the ball since 43 at Presbyterian on Sept. 26, 2015...held the Blue Hose to a meager 117 yards.
- Four sacks today in matchup of SoCon leaders in sacks (UTC) and fewest allowed (Furman)…Paladins had given up just five in their first seven games.
- 28.6 completion percentage…Paladins connected on just four of 14 pass attempts with an interception…lowest success rate (min. 10 att) since Sept. 1, 2016, a 1-13 (7.7%) by Shorter...worst by a DI opponent since 26.1 percent (6-23-2, 124 yards) by Liberty on Nov. 13, 2004.
- Seven tackles for loss…six or more in 12 of the last 15 games.

Devonnsha Maxwell's 1.5 TFL today gives him 40.5 for his career…that's 2.5 behind Keionta Davis (43.0) for second-place all-time at Chattanooga…D-Max's 1.0 sacks gets him to 28.5 all-time which is only behind Davis Tull (2011-14) with 37.0 and Keionta Davis (2013-16) with 31.0.
- Maxwell now has 11.0 sacks this season which cracks the top 10 in Mocs lore in fifth-place…that's 2.5 behind record holder Davis' 13.5 in 2015.

Ailym Ford's 108 yards put him over the 2,000-yard mark with 2,009 for his career…the TD was his 16th.
- 5th straight game with a running back with a run of 40+ yards…
Tyrell Price did it on his first carry going 42 yards to the two setting up Ford's TD…previous four games included Price runs of 58 (ETSU) and 57 (WCU) with Ford posting runs of 65 (VMI), 54 (WCU), 49 (ETSU) and 47 (Samford).
- Price's 110 yards topped the 1,500-yard mark for his career at 1,537.

CaMiron Smith had his team-leading seventh pass breakup on Furman's first drive…it's the 15th of his career tied with
Jordan Jones behind
Brandon Dowdell's 17 (1 today) on the active list…the trio is closing in on the top 10 all-time with Dee Virgin (2013-15), Trevor Wright (2013-17) and Kenny Booker (1983-86) tied in eighth with 19.

Aaron Sears' two FG were from 40 and 38 yards…12-14 (85.7%) on the season…63 points kicking this season is two shy of Victor Ulmo's total in the last full season (2019)…Ulmo's 13 in 2018 is the last time a kicker made 12 or more in a campaign.
