Postgame Quotes
Rusty Wright, Head Coach
On the defense's performance tonight.
"They played their butts off. You give up 10 points in a college football game, you have to find a way to win it. You have to find a way. There's no message needing to come across. That's what this football program has to do. I haven't been here very long but that's what I expect them to do when Monday comes around. That's just part of being a college football player. We're going to do things right and the things we're supposed to. If it's good enough, then it's good enough. If it's not, it's not."
Â
On the unfortunate result.
"It's going to happen. It happens to all of them. I'm proud of those kids, I love them. I'll fight for them. They'll fight. We just have to handle situations better and understand things better. We have to continue to grow to make things happen."
Â
On the miscues, turnovers and missed kicks.
"You can't turn it over five times against anyone. You just can't do it. We were going up and down the field and had nothing to show for it. A touchdown and a missed extra point. I was actually pleased at halftime with everything that happened. I didn't do a good enough job to get them prepared to play in a game like this. You do good things and then you turn it over. You just can't do that and win."

Ben Brewton, So.-DL
On bouncing back from this loss.
"You just have to get up the next day and go. You have to put it in the past and flush it. We still have stuff ahead of us that we need to get through. We need to just keep working."
On pushing forward.
"We have to keep coming together and become a team. We can't put anyone down we just have to keep working. We need to do everything in the right possible way and let it go."
Â
Tyrell Price, Sr.-RB
On the unfortunate miscues.
"It's football, man. We have to understand that. Things like this just happen. You really don't have control over anything but what you do. You just have to flush the past and flush the mistakes and move on to the next one. If you don't, it's tough to overcome anything."
Â
On moving forward.
"It's one game at a time. We have to prepare for the next game and stay focused. We need to just stay focused on what's in the now and not look ahead or behind at anything."
Â
McClendon Curtis, Jr.-OL
On picking up kicker Aaron Sears.
"Just keep supporting him every day. Keep encouraging him and picking him up. Being a specialist, everything thinks it's just kicking a ball. It's hard. Everyone is human. As a team, we're going to support him and lift him up."
Â
On miscues.
"It's unfortunate we had turnovers and everything. You have to keep going and go back to the drawing board. It's the next drive, it's the next play. It hurt everyone because we normally don't do these things. Those are the type of guys that are going to bounce back."
