CHATTANOOGA---The 25th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs look to keep the train moving through the upstate region of South Carolina. The Mocs travel to Wofford for what continues to be pivotal Southern Conference matchups.Â
The 5-3 Chattanooga contingent is one of four SoCon programs in the race for the coveted title. Mercer, which is off this week to prepare for a Mocs invasion on the 13th, is in the lead at 5-1. UTC is joined by No. 14 ETSU and No. 18 VMI at 4-1, just a half-game back with ETSU and VMI meeting this week in Johnson City.
Â
The Mocs certainly aren't taking anything for granted for its trip to Spartanburg. While the Terriers enter at 1-7 overall and 0-6 in the league, they are always tough at home. In fact, in 12 trips to Gibbs Stadium, Chattanooga has just three wins.
Â
Coach
Rusty Wright discussed with the media throng in attendance along with a few other items. Defensive end
Ben Brewton and wide receiver
Reginald Henderson joined him. There were some technical difficulties during Henderson's time at the head table.

3 NOTES TO KNOW
- Tied for the National lead (Holy Cross) in interceptions (14). Brandon Dowdell and Jerrell Lawson are tied for the league lead with five interceptions (0.63) and tied for second nationally. The 14 picks are the most since 17 in 2017.
- Ailym Ford is 164 yards away from 1,000 for the season. It would be the 14th in school history and second by the Florence, S.C., native. He'd join Derrick Craine (2015, 2016), Jacob Huesman (2014, 2015) & Eldra Buckley (2005, 2006) with more than one. He's 415 yards shy of Craine's record of 1,251 in 2015 which was just seven more than Huesman's 1,244 that year.
- 2nd nationally in turnover margin (1.25) and third in takeaways (20).
