GENERAL
- The 25th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs ran away with a 35-10 victory at Wofford Saturday afternoon in Southern Conference play...UTC is 6-3, 5-1 in the league…the Terriers are 1-8 overall, 0-7 in the SoCon.
- 5-1 record in the SoCon standings is tied for first with next week's opponent, Mercer and No. 14 ETSU …the trio is a half-game ahead of No. 18 VMI at 4-2…Mercer had this week off while the Bucs claimed a 27-20 win over the Bucs/Keydets in Johnson City.
- Last win for the Mocs at Gibbs Stadium was Oct. 24, 2015…the 20-17 triumph was earned with a 38-yard Henrique Ribeiro field goal at the final horn…1-3 last four visits with the total score at just a four-point margin (88-92) before the 25-point win today.
- First win on natural grass since thrilling 29-28 overtime win at The Citadel on Sept. 8, 2018…fun fact, defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward, Sr.'s son Lorenzo Jr., scored a TD for the Bulldogs…only VMI and Wofford have natural grass fields in the SoCon now.
- 21 second quarter points mark the fourth three-score quarter of the season: Western Carolina (3TDs-1Q), at VMI (2TDs/1FG-4Q) and at Samford (3TDs-2Q).
- Zero offensive touchdowns for the second straight game and nine consecutive quarters…span of 138 minutes and 40 seconds since a 3Q score by Samford.
- 79-33 this season in the second quarter…138-55 in the first half.
- Third-most total yards (470) and second-highest rushing total (270) of the season.
- Second-fewest total yards (136) and fewest passing (9) of the season.

- Third time this season holding an opponent without an offensive TD…shutout North Alabama 20-0 on Sept. 11…just 3 TDs allowed over last four games (2-ETSU/1 at Samford).
- 136 yards allowed to Wofford…third straight game and fourth overall with 200 or fewer given up (90 at UNA/200 at Samford/157 vs Furman)…only the SECOND time in the modern era to do it three straight games with the other coming in 1981 (Oct. 10-24): Marshall (112), at Arkansas State (184) and at Western Carolina (200).
- Just 493 yards allowed over the last three weeks (164.3/gm)…by contrast, the Mocs ran up 470 this week alone.
- NINE yards passing…fifth-fewest yards allowed in the DI era…there were zero in the 23-21 loss at Georgia Southern on Sept. 27, 2013…Shorter managed just two on Sept. 1, 2016 with the other two instances coming against The Citadel with three on Oct. 1, 2011 (L, 27-28) and seven on Oct. 15, 2016 (L, 14-22).
- Terriers completed one of seven attempts…fewest completions since The Citadel on Oct. 15, 2016 (1-4-0 7 yds)…7th time with one or fewer completions by the opposition.
- 187 yards passing over the last three games (62.3 ypg)…131 at Samford followed by 47 last week to Furman…56 yards in back-to-back weeks.
- Season-high 12 tackles for loss...ties for fourth most in school history...most since Nov. 14, 2009 vs The Citadel (12)…six or more in 13 of the last 16 games.
- 270 yards rushing…second-highest total on the year behind 271 in the win over Western Carolina…15 of the 18 SoCon games under Rusty Wright have topped the 200-yard mark.
- 1,804 rushing yards over last eight games (225.5 per game)…239.8 rushing yards per SoCon game.
- +889 yards difference in total offense over last three weeks (1,382-493)…296.3 yards per game.
- Zero turnovers on the day...a first since the 10-3 Nov. 18, 2017 win over ETSU.
 
INDIVIDUAL
- Chris James' 44 yard catch-and-run for a second quarter score is the long TD reception of the season for a Moc…it was James' first of the season and eighth career.
- Tyrell Price's 8-yard run for the Mocs fourth touchdown was his 21st career rushing touchdown…he's tied for seventh with Cleve Barrett (1926-29)…next on the list? Mike Smith (1977-80) and Tony Merendino (1975-78) with 24.
- Ailym Ford's 27-yard TD run in the second quarter was the 8th by a Moc of 27 or more yards this season…all eight have come in SoCon play with four from Ford, three by Price and one for Gino Appleberry.
- Ford now has eight TDs for the season, 17 career…he trails Price (21) on the active list and is three out of the top 10 for career rushing scores.
- Ty Boeck had a career-high three tackles for loss.
- Jay Person registered a team-high seven stops with the lone sack and two tackles for loss.
- Ailym Ford's 98 yards puts him at 2,107 for his career…he's 177 yards shy of the top 10 (Mike Smith-2,284).
- Price's 81 yards topped the 1,600-yard mark for his career at 1,618.
- Gino Appleberry got the third rushing TD today with a 12-yard third quarter burst…it was the second of the campaign and fourth of this Mocs career on the ground.
