Daphne van Son and the Chattanooga Mocs are back in action in New Orleans for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team is back in action this coming week at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. The tourney is played at English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans, the former home of the area's PGA TOUR event.
The Mocs are coming off a solid display at the UNF Collegiate earlier this week finishing tied for third while competing for the team title. It included two top 10s and a top 20 as the team trends upward.
Esme Hamilton tied for third individually while finishing in the mix for medalist honors. She leads the team with a 74.67 scoring average and has five top 20s in seven starts with four top 10s and two third-place endings. She's joined in the lineup by Daphne van Son, Dorota Zalewska, Beatriz Barrios and Rachel Thompson.
Van Son joined Hamilton in the top 10 at UNF (T10), while Zalewska finished 16th. Barrios and Thompson battled through injuries this spring and look to add the spark both had during the fall providing excellent depth throughout the lineup.
The tourney is a 3-day, 54-hole event begins Sunday and ends Tuesday. If live scoring is available, a scoring link will be available on the team's GoMocs.com schedule page.
