CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team battled in its third-straight road match, but eventually fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 26-24) to Western Carolina on Friday evening inside the Ramsey Center in Cullowhee, N.C.
Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to 7-12 overall and 2-3 in SoCon play. Western Carolina improves to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in league action.
Chattanooga dropped the first set of the match 25-20 before falling in the second 25-20. The Mocs allowed a .485% attacking percentage to the Catamounts in the second and also surrendered the tally in the kill column, 18-10. WCU would close out the match in a tightly-battled 26-24 decision in the third.

Natalie Tyson led the team with 15 kills at a .167% hitting clip and also finished the match one dig shy of a double-double with nine.
Sydney Hall trailed Tyson in the kill tally with seven and finished the match with 8.5 points after collecting a service ace and a block assist.
Nailah Jones ended the contest with five kills at a .308% percentage and
Chloe Bryan finished with four at a .400% tally, also ending with two block assists.
Sophia Bossong led the squad with 26 assists and added three kills and a team-high 17 digs to accomplish another double-double performance.
Paige Gallentine, the league's top libero, finished with eight digs and three assists while
Makenzie Jordan finished with nine digs. The Mocs and Catamounts both finished with 53 digs each during the match while the former ended up surrendering four less aces, 6-2.
