Postgame Quotes

Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening statement after 72-66 loss to Lipscomb.
"Obviously a tough game for us. I don't think we executed well enough in the first half. They just pounded the ball down low in the second half and scored all their points in the paint. We have to play with more defensive intent, that part was disappointing to me. We have a tough one next against Murray State, so we need to move forward."

On the play from Sam Alexis.
"You can see some flashes from Sam [Alexis]. He gave us a lot of good minutes tonight and he has been good for us. He's going to be very good and he's really good now. We're trying to tweak that lineup and find the right rotation."

On the play from Jamaal Walker.
"We ask our guys to work while they wait. If their number isn't being called early on, we want them to stay working and keep a positive attitude. I can't say enough about Jamaal Walker and the attitude he has and the work he puts in. It was a big positive for us and I can see his name being called moving forward."

Jamaal Walker, RSo.-G/F
On providing the spark off the bench.
"It feels good. I just try to stay positive about everything. I haven't really played in a year so I'm just trying to stay positive and keep working."
