Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Fall Season at SoCon Fall Invite in South Carolina

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team is set for its final weekend of fall competition as the squad travels to Belton, S.C., for the Southern Conference Fall Invite held Friday through Sunday at the Belton Tennis Center.

The fall invite will include SoCon teams from around the league as the weekend competition puts a cap of the fall season. The Mocs are coming off a stellar weekend from its annual UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite last Friday and Saturday.

Junior Peyton Gatti and freshman Cortland Grove each earned titles, both firsts of their collegiate careers, in their respective flights last weekend at the home event. Gatti earned the title in the Chatt Flight while Grove took home the title in the Scrappy Flight.

Senior Simon Labbe also turned in a quality weekend performance behind runner-up efforts in both singles and doubles alongside partner Gatti. Labbe finished second in the Gold Flight of singles while him and Gatti took second in the top Power C doubles flight.

Freshman Kristof Kincses and senior Kerim Hyatt earned a third-place finish in the Choo Choo Flight of doubles while Kincses picked up a singles victory in the Mocs Flight.
