Opening statement after 82-71 win over Gardner-Webb.
"Really proud of our guys. I have a ton of respect for Gardner-Webb and what they've done over the recent years, coach Craft does a fantastic job and they're so hard to score on. We had a lot of guys contribute today. It was almost a tale of two halves again. Our defense wasn't that great in the first half. Overall, anytime you can get a road win is big, especially over a good team like Gardner-Webb."
 
On the difference of halves and what might be the switch.
"I'm not really sure. It's been two in-a-row, so I don't know how large the sample size is. I would say that I would like to take away the first halves where we struggle defensively. It's great to have a response in the second half, I just can't put my finger on exactly why that's happened the last two times out, but it's great when we respond."
 
On the team figuring out the system and roles.
"We have a lot of work to do in figuring things out, it takes time. We're starting to settle into roles a little bit more. We have a lot of guys who can positively affect the game. Not everyone is going to play great every time out, we just have to play with intensity and add value to the game. I think we're starting to figure things out in our system with each passing day."

On first half and second half differences.
"We figure from the first half and the second half, we just have to buy-in. It's a matter of us just playing harder, and it's a more of a 'want to'. None of these games are gimmies, we're playing tough teams. We have a lot of tough opponents so you can't fall asleep. We're going to work on putting a full game together."
 
On playing roles and the team coming together.
"We're doing a great job. We're bringing it in practice everyday which is big. We have had a lot of guys step up and fill those roles when we ask them to. I think this is how it's going to be down the stretch. When one guy struggles, we'll have another one step up. We're just trying to get better every day."
