Postgame Quotes

Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening statement after 88-76 win over Milwaukee.
"Really proud of our guys effort tonight. I thought we did a lot of things really well, we only turned the ball over eight times against a very good Milwaukee team that presses the entire time, it says a lot about our backcourt. A lot of guys played good minutes tonight and affected the game. Overall, really good effort. We're trying to string together two full halves."

On weathering the Milwaukee press.
"That's a situation where you get a big lead like that, the other team has nothing to lose. They can be a little riskier, pressing defensively, getting in the passing lanes. They were just firing off shots. I thought overall we did a pretty good job weathering the storm and continuing to make plays on the offensive end."

On the return of Khristion Courseault.
"Khristion adds a little bit of a different dynamic. He's only really had two practices. He's a stronger, bigger guard who can get downhill and put pressure on the defense. That might open up some additional things as well. He's been through the battles of division one basketball but getting game experience was great."

Demetrius Davis, Jr.-F
On hitting those three, threes in the first half.
"Sometimes you just feel like you're hot. My teammates just kept doing a great job of finding me and I was making the most of hitting those shots."

On finding the open spots.
"Jake draws a lot of attention. He's a dominant shooter, dominant in the post. He draws a lot of attention from defenses, so I'm always ready for the kick-out and always ready to shoot."

Khristion Courseault, Jr.-G
On returning after missing the last seven games due to injury.
"It felt great to be back out there and feel the support from my teammates and help lead this team to a victory. It was great playing in front of the home Mocs fans for the first time."

On doing a little bit of everything.
"I think being a point guard is about doing whatever the team needs you to do to win the game. Whatever that might be in a particular moment, I'm going to make sure I do my best to get it done."
