CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's indoor track and field team will head south for the South Alabama USA Invitational Sunday in Mobile, Ala.
Â
"This Sunday's meet is going to be a good tune up in prep for the Southern Conference indoor championship meet," Mocs head coach Andy Meyer said. "For our sprinters, it will be a great chance to concentrate on finishing. For the mid-distance girls, they will be working on strength and for the distance ladies, they will be working on pacing and foot speed."
Â
Imani Bryant, Sage Davis and Kimbra Dunning will all be competing in the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes while Carley Burt and Rebekah Pass are slated to run the 400 meter dash. Dunning will also compete in the long jump.
Â
Sydney Cansler, Emmy Davis and Brooke Rieves will be in the 800 meter run and Justine Glass, Lesley Green and Emma Russum will run the Mile.
Â
The 3000 meter run will feature Faith Brown, Ashtyn Hagood, Camden Morris and Allie Potter.
Â
"Several of the ladies will be running preparation events," Meyer continued. "They will not be running these events at the conference meet but will be using these events to help them become stronger and improve footspeed."
