PREVIEW: Women’s Golf Follows Men Out West

BOULDER CITY, Nev.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team is back in action at the same site where the men just completed two days of competition. The ladies tackle Boulder Creek Golf Club Monday and Tuesday in the Jackrabbit Invitational.

The Mocs quartet of Dorota Zalewska, Esme Hamilton, Carolina Hortian and Megan Docherty take on the suburban Las Vegas course. Zalewska (72.50) and Hamilton (73.39) are challenging Emily McLennan's '16 school-record scoring average for a season of 73.34 in 2015-16.

It's the team's farthest trip west since the 2014 NCAA West Regional, May 8-10, in Cle Elum, Wash. Regular season? You have to go back to Sept. 13-15, 2009 at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Primm, Nev., which is less than 50 miles southwest of Boulder City on the California border. That squad finished third in 2009 led by a tie for third by Ladies European Tour player and Olympian Christine Wolf '11.

Monday's 36-hole day is a shotgun start. The event concludes with a final 18 on Tuesday. Scoring and pairings are linked above.
