CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 sweep over Western Carolina in Southern Conference action on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the UTC Tennis Center.
 
Following the win, Chattanooga has now won its last five matches and improves to 10-5 overall and 2-0 inside league play. Western Carolina drops to 9-6 and 1-2 in the SoCon.
 
"Great win today. The women came out on fire and just didn't let up," head coach Chad Camper stated after the win. "I'm very proud of them. That was a long weekend and they fought hard."
 
The Mocs earned the doubles point to begin the match after seeing victories in all three matchups. The tandem of Callie Billman and Coco Bosman clinched the point behind a 6-1 decision which followed a Nicole Abel and Emma Van Hee 6-2 victory.
 
In singles play, UTC swept all six matches in straight sets to amass the 7-0 clean sweep. It marks the program's first 7-0 victory over the Catamounts since the 2014-15 season.
 
Chattanooga is back in action on Saturday, March 26, when it hosts ETSU at the UTC Tennis Center. All match coverage links will be posted on the schedule page on GoMocs.com when available.
