TROY, Ala. – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Sun Belt-member Troy in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex in Troy, Alabama.
Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to 3-9 on the season. Troy improved to 11-6 after the victory.
Chattanooga suffered a pair of losses in doubles play to surrender the team point to Troy ahead of
Kerim Hyatt and
Kaisei Kuroki's unfinished match, where the UTC tandem held a 5-3 lead.
The Mocs, who are still dealing with injuries, singles play saw six-straight defeats. However, Hyatt,
Peyton Gatti and
Ryan Mudre all reached the third set, but ultimately dropped each decision.
Chattanooga returns to action next weekend when it hosts VCU and Georgia State at the UTC Tennis Complex. The Mocs will face VCU on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET ahead of a Sunday 1 p.m. ET matchup against GSU. All match coverage links will be made available at GoMocs.com.
