CHATTANOOGA---The 9th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs are in game week mode. The UTC campus is in Homecoming mode. It's all coming together at Finley Stadium this Saturday at 6 p.m.
 
Coach Rusty Wright, quarterback Preston Hutchinson and edge Jay Person joined the Mocs media contingent Tuesday afternoon to talk game week, Homecoming alums returning home, new strength room upgrade and more. The event started with the announcement Hutchinson was name Offensive Player of the Week for the state of Tennessee by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.

3 NOTES TO KNOW

• Defense had 13.0 tackles for loss in the win at EIU...most since Nov. 1, 2008, with 14 at Western Carolina...19 TFLs and eight sacks through two games...11 different players have at least an 0.5 TFL and five with 0.5 or more sacks…record is 15 against Kentucky State on Nov. 24, 2001.
• Averaging 7.4 yards per play on offense while limiting opponents to 3.8 yards per snap. +348 yards (838-490) in total offense through two games.
• Ben Brewton leads the league in sacks (3.0) and is eighth nationally. Jay Person is second to Brewton in the SoCon and 18th in the country (2.0).
