Opening thoughts after 95-76 win over Western Carolina.
"So many guys gave such great efforts tonight and really effected the game. When you do things like make free throws, produce 14 assists to just six turnovers, especially against a team like that who defends so well, I'm just proud of these guys. Especially against a really confident team in Western Carolina."
 
On what sparked the difference.
"I think one of the things, and we're working on this still, but we made a couple shots in-a-row and it gave us energy on the defensive side of the ball. We started to guard with more intent and that was a big thing. We got some stops and the game started to kind of go our way. There was a variety of different guys who effected the game so it's great to see."
 
On the recent play of Jake Stephens.
"He's such a good player. What I love about him is that he's an awesome kid and plays the game the right way. That's one of the things we've been working on in this system and style. You have such a great player that teams have to pick their poison on how they want to play defensively. We're still working on that, but he's unselfish enough to play the right way when he's doubled and he's strong enough when he's in one-on-one. Just super proud of him."

On settling in after redshirt season.
"After settling in a little bit, as the game goes on, it starts to feel more comfortable. It's hard, but as it goes on, you understand what your role is and how it can make the team better."
 
On seeing more minutes.
"Coach Earl loves when you play hard. So if you get out there and play hard, rebound, make the right play, get on the floor for loose balls, that's how you stay on the court."
