Postgame Quotes

Dan Earl, Head Coach
Opening thoughts after 77-69 loss to Furman.
"Certainly, turnovers hurt. Seven assists-to-15 turnovers is just too much. Credit to Furman, they played really physical and aggressive. The most disappointing thing is, I thought they were faster to the ball to us most of the night. 50/50 balls, loose balls, rebounds, they just seemed to be moving faster. We have to figure that out sooner rather than later."

On the play from Furman's Mike Bothwell and Jalen Slawson.
"They're at the top of everyone's scouting reports. They are really good players who can drive downhill and keep you honest from three. The discouraging thing is they have tendencies, and we go over it in a scouting report, then they go out and do the things they tend to do. If you want to win a game like that, you have to be dialed into everything."

On Furman limiting Jake Stephens.
"Furman did a good job on him down there. They were fronting him and did a good job of not making contact. There's a couple things you have to do against that. We didn't do a good job of that. Some other guys have to make plays as well."

Brody Robinson, Fr., G
On providing the spark off the bench.
"It felt great to provide a spark off the bench and contribute to the team in a good way. I just tried not to turn the ball over and make stops on defense."

On entering off the bench in a late situation.
"When they put me in that late, I just felt like they trust me. I had all the confidence in the world going into that moment and felt like I could make some things happen."

On trying to earn more minutes.
"It's hard, but you always have to stay mentally prepared. It's talking with the coaches about staying ready and being ready for that moment. It's always about doing what's best for the team. Obviously, as a competitor you want to play, but it's that's what I have to do, I'll do it."
