CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's soccer team host VMI Sunday afternoon at Finley Stadium. The Mocs will honor its seniors in a pregame Senior Day ceremony. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match as well in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Gavin McKinney is an ambassador for the American Cancer Society's "Men Wear Pink" campaign in honor of his wife Shari who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018.

MOCS vs. VMI
The Keydets lead the series with the Mocs 5-4-2 and 3-2-1 in Chattanooga. However, Chattanooga has laid claim to the last four matches, all by shutout.

The Mocs took sole possession of first place in 2022 with a win over VMI three games into the SoCon season.
Clarissa Salinas tallied her third goal of the seaon on a pass from
Caroline Richvalsky. She took possession inside the box and shot into the right side of the net for the lone goal of the match. The Mocs outshot the Keydets 18-1 with seven shots on goal.
Mackenzie Smith and
Kennedy Heavrin earch launched four shots while Birna Johannsdottor knotched three.
Caroline Ekern earned her second shutout in league play.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA (8-4-1, 2-2-1 SoCon)
The Mocs opened play in the Southern Conference with back-to-back wins over Mercer and The Citadel. Chattanooga tied Furman for the second straight season but suffered setbacks against ETSU and Western Carolina.
Caroline Richvalsky leads the team with six goals and 14 points and
Birna Johannsdottir has a team-best six assists and 10 points. Captain
Mackenzie Smith has four goals on the year and is third with 10 points.
Caroline Ekern has six of the Mocs eight wins this season and two shutouts. She has a .769 save percentage and a 1.27 goals-against average.

ABOUT VMI (2-12, 1-4 SoCon)
The Keydets earned their first win in SoCon play since beating Mercer on October 22, 2017. VMI has scored nine goals this season and averages 9.6 shots per game. Sedona Dancu leads the Keydets with eight points on three goals and two assists and one of the team's two game winning goals. Riley Boucher has two goals including one game winner.

Chattanooga 0, Western Carolina 2- Cullowhee, N.C.
The Catamounts scored two first-half goals to take over sole possession of first place. Chattanooga had 15 shots in the match with eight on goal and many chances to score, but were kept out the net for the entire 90 minutes.
Kennedy Heavrin had four shots while
Caroline Richvalsky's three shots were all on goal.
Clarissa Salinas had three shots as well with two on goal.
Caroline Ekern posted a career-high eight saves with four in each half.
