CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs made a big recruiting swing to open the November signing period. Top Georgia wrestler Landon Jones inked his National Letter of Intent to join the Mocs program in the fall of 2024.

Jones wrestles at Harrison High School in suburban Atlanta.

"Big recruit for us," Coach Kyle Ruschell noted. "Top 15 guy in the country at his weight class. He placed fourth at Super 32 which is a huge tournament. He projects at 174/184, so he's a high-caliber guy that could make a splash early in his career."

As Ruschell mentioned, he was fourth at 175 pounds at the Super 32 last month in Greensboro, N.C., and highly regarded nationally. Jones is also considered a top 10 high school wrestler – any weight – in the state

The Mocs are back in action Dec. 2 in Boiling Springs, N.C. They take on Kent State and Buffalo in a pair of duals at Gardner-Webb before returning home on Dec. 16 to host Little Rock and Queens. Tickets are on sale at GoMocs.com at the link above.

GoMocs.com is the official website of the Chattanooga Mocs. Buy officially licensed gear in our online store. The Mocs can also be followed on their official Facebook page or on Twitter. Find out how to join the Mocs Club and support more than 300 student-athletes by clicking here.
