Postgame Quotes

Dan Earl, Head Coach
Overall thoughts after 82-68 loss at Lipscomb.
"Our body language wasn't the best. We have a choice now to learn from it and get better, or not. We have look forward to getting more confident as a group, and we have to do that as opposed to doing some of the same things that allow this to happen."

On the early shooting woes setting a tone.
"We missed a lot of bunnies early on in the game and shots in traffic. You put your head down and get to the rim and just can't finish, and then now you have to go get a stop on defense and make something happen. At times, I don't think we handled that and adversity very well. Whether it was a missed shot, a turnover, getting driven to the basket, we did not respond well to the adversity of the game. It was more than just not making shots. We did not play well."

On the rare disadvantage on the glass.
"Even if they had played some of the best rebounding teams in the nation coming into this, that's something we wanted to really take advantage of that, and we did the exact opposite of that. Often times that comes down to the 'want to' or how hard you're hustling, how hard you're competing. That's the disappointing side of it. Give them credit though. They made shots, they played smart and fast, and grabbed rebounds. We have to work on some things."

On the play of true freshman Sean Cusano.
"At the end of the day, it's not about short-term success. It's about the habits and traits that carry over, over time, that make you a better basketball player. Sean Cusano carries a lot of those qualities. He played a good game today and hopefully that builds his confidence moving forward.
