The Mocs are returning to Warner Park after more than a month on the road for a pair of tournaments and a pair of three-game series. Chattanooga took on #14 Virginia Tech last weekend. Despite dropping all three games, the Mocs outhit the Hokies 27-19. In game one, the Mocs started off with a three-run homer off the bat of
Acelynn Sellers while Virginia Tech went its first game this season without a hit over the fence. UTC is batting .281 on the year and has 17 home runs and 97 RBI.
Hannah Pfeifer is hitting a team-best .500 with seven starts in 14 appearances.
Kailey Snell is hitting .393 and
Kaili Phillips with 23 starts in 23 appearances is 24-for-67 (.358) with five home runs and 15 RBI and slugging .657. Chattanooga's opponents are hitting .233 and have 45 extra base hits compared to 55 for the Mocs. UTC's pitchers average a 3.40 ERA with one shutout.
