BRENTWOOD, Tenn. --- After finishing the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record, the Chattanooga beach volleyball sophomore duo of Neva Clark and Joy Courtright have been named the Ohio Valley Conference Pair of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The weekly honor is Clark's third of her career after picking up a pair of laurels last season. Courtright earns the award for the first time in her career.
 
Clark and Courtright went a perfect 4-0 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup last weekend at the "OVC Weekend at Morehead State" event to help the team finish 3-1 and solidify a second-place finish in the regular season standings. The tandem won in straight sets in all four matches this past weekend in Morehead.
 
For the season, Clark and Courtright are 17-9 overall together as a pair in the No. 1 slot and have gone a combined 7-3 over the past 10 matches. Clark was tabbed the 2023 OVC Preseason Player of the Year while Courtright checked in at No. 9 in the initial rankings this season.
 
Chattanooga (17-13) kicks off the 2023 OVC Championships as the No. 2 seed and will await the winner of No. 3 Morehead State and No. 4 Eastern Illinois on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The match will be LIVE on ESPN+ with links available on the schedule page.
