Lesley Green earned all-conference at each of the last two SoCon Outdoor Track Championships
Women's Track Heads to SoCon Championships Monday, Tuesday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's outdoor track and field team heads to Cullowhee, N.C., for the 2023 Southern Conference Championships Monday and Tuesday.
"We are looking forward to the championships at Western Carolina," Chattanooga Mocs head coach Andy Meyer. "The women have been working hard all late winter and spring for this meet. Coaches Gadson and Griffin have done their usual great jobs of having all the kids well prepared and ready to compete."
Besides being moved to Monday and Tuesday this year, competition each day will start at 4:00 p.m. each day. On Tuesday, a live ESPN broadcast will be available for viewers to watch the finals.
Chattanooga will get started with the 1500 meter trials at 4:00 p.m., with Leah Boyd, Hannah Dearing and Maddie Wheatcroft. That will be followed by the Reagan Ruth running the 100 meter hurdles.
Jessika Rennich will run in her first SoCon Championships in the 400 meter dash. Imani Bryant is up next with the 100 meter dash. Emmy Davis and Lexi Foley will run the 800 meter run for the Mocs and Ruth along with Sarah Unterholzner will compete in the 400 meter hurdles. Bryant will run the final prelim race of the day, the 200 meter dash.
Faith Brown, Julianna McReynolds and Emma Russum will run the 3000 meter Steeplechase and Monday's events for the Mocs will close with the 10,000 meter run with Lesley Green and Camden Morris.
All of Monday's events, except for the steeplechase and 10K will be trials with finals to be run Tuesday.
Day Two begins with the 4x100 meter relay at 4:00 p.m. Following that will be the finals for anyone who advances through the preliminary races.
The 5000 meter run will take place at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday with Leah Boyd, Andrea Ellis, Lesley Green, Allie Potter and Emma Russum. The championships will conclude with the 4x400 meter relay.
"We have had a very good spring meet slate with the kids improving each meet," Meyer said. "We are healthy with no major injuries or sickness. Several of the kids are ranked in the top 10 of their conference events. Sarah in the 400mh; Maddie in the 1500; Leslie in the 10K and 5K; Emma in the Steeplechase. We look forward to the competition our conference always has and representing chattanooga to the very best of our abilities."
All of Tuesday's races and field events will be streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 4:00 p.m. Links for video and live scoring will be available online at GoMocs.com.
