Women’s Tennis Signs Knoxville Prospect Margaret Manolache to 2023-24 Roster

The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team added its third member of the offseason to the upcoming 2023-24 roster.

CHATTANOOGA --- With its third addition of the summer offseason, the Chattanooga Mocs tennis team and head coach Chad Camper have signed Knoxville scholastic prospect Margaret Manolache to the 2023-24 roster, the program announced Wednesday afternoon.

Manolache joins Ball State transfer Emma Peeler and Italian scholastic prospect Emma Pedretti as the latest signees for the program in the recent weeks.

"Margaret is a fighter on the court and has been coached very well in the Knoxville area," said coach Camper. "She is one of those players that's built for college tennis."

Manolache was selected to compete in the United States Tennis Association Billie Jean King Girls' 16s and 18s National Championships held in August of 2022 in San Diego, Calif. In addition, she was a Tennessee State qualifier at the 14s and 16s level and earned sportsmanship awards at a pair of 16s events.

A three-star recruit according to Tennis Recruiting Network, Manolache ranks as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Tennessee and No. 57 in the Southeast, as well as No. 222 nationally. She peaked at No. 198 nationally during the 2023 calendar year back on March 15.
