McKinney Joins Men Wear Pink Campaign

Women's Soccer head coach Gavin McKinney is an ambassador for the American Cancer Society's "Men Wear Pink" campaign.

Following the birth of her second daughter, Shari McKinney was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. She faced the diagnosis head on and today, alongside her family, continues to help raise awareness of this disease.

Her husband Gavin, head coach of the Chattanooga Mocs women's soccer team, was named an ambassador in the American Cancer Society "Men Wear Pink" campaign and is raising funds for, and awareness of, the fight against breast cancer.

Why I Wear Pink
"First, I am honored to support the American Cancer Society and to be a part of an amazing campaign such as Men Wear Pink.  Furthering breast cancer awareness and research is something that can have a positive impact on so many individuals. The cause is very personal for my family as my wife, Shari, was diagnosed with and fought breast cancer in 2018.  She, like so many others, faced it head on and had amazing doctors and nurses to help her along the way.  As a family, we will do whatever we can to help spread the word and raise money for this important cause."
