CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs men's and women's tennis programs and head coaches Chuck Merzbacher and Chad Camper have finalized and announced the upcoming 2023 fall schedules which feature a combined four home events between the two teams.

OF NOTE: Calling all UTC Tennis alums! The annual "UTC Alumni Match" including both the men's and women's programs will occur Homecoming weekend on Saturday, October 7, at the UTC Tennis Center on campus. Start time is slated for 9 a.m. ET.
 
Men's 2023 Fall Schedule Preview
Coming off a historic 2023 spring campaign where the program captured its first ever Southern Conference Regular Season title, Chattanooga will kick off fall action ahead of the 2023-24 season September 15-17 in Birmingham, Ala., at the Samford Invitational.

Following the opening weekend, the program will turn its attention to Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) action with the ITA All-American Championships held in Tulsa, Okla., running September 30-October 8 before hosting the ITA Ohio Valley Regional at Champions Club in town October 12-16.
 
Home competition will continue with the team's annual UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite held on campus at the UTC Tennis Center October 27-29. The squad will wrap up fall play with potential selections in the ITA Fall Championships in San Diego, Calif., November 1-5 which coincides with the North Alabama Invite hosted by UNA in Florence, Ala., November 4-5.
 
The team enters the 2023-24 season with tremendous depth between a mix of key returners and plethora of talented newcomers. After finishing the 2023 spring season ranked No. 7 in the final ITA Ohio Valley Regional Team Rankings, Chattanooga will look to continue its success with eight returners and five true freshmen newcomers on this year's roster.
 
Women's 2023 Fall Schedule Preview
They'll be a new look to the Chattanooga women's tennis team this season as the squad signed six newcomers during offseason activities including graduate transfer Emma Peeler (Ball State) and transfer Alice Hall (Sewanee), who both arrive in the Scenic City carrying all-conference laurels from their previous stops.
 
The 2023 fall schedule kicks off up the road in Clarksville, Tenn., with a hidden dual format hosted by Austin Peay September 22-24. From there, the Mocs will host the UTC Fall Invite held at UTC Tennis Center September 29-October 1.
 
Following the home event, Chattanooga will compete in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville October 19-23. Fall play wraps up in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at the Alabama Fall Tournament October 27-29.
