CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Fifth-seeded Chattanooga women's soccer takes on No. 4 seed Mercer Friday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the Southern Conference Championship. The game is set to kick off at 4:00 p.m. at Whitmire Stadium in Cullowhee, N.C.

The Mocs are in the Western Carolina bracket. The Catamounts claimed a second straight regular season title are hosting the quarter and semi final rounds as the No. 1 seed. They will take on Wofford Friday night after the Terriers beat VMI in the first round on Tuesday.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA (6-8-3, 5-4 SoCon)
The Mocs played a stout non-conference slate that included SEC foes Tennessee and Alabama as well as #15 Xavier. Once in league play, UTC started off with a win over Wofford. After falling in the next three, Chattanooga bounced back with a four-game win streak to jump to third in the Southern Conference standings by one point over Mercer and Furman. However, a season-finale loss to regular season champion Western Carolina dropped the Mocs to fifth.

Caroline Richvalsky leads the team with 14 points on a team-best six goals and two assists.
Zoey Mize has a team-best seven assists and is tied for third in the SoCon. She is second on the team in scoring with 11 points. Richvalsky, Mize and
Sophia Mize have two game winning goals apiece.
Caroline Ekern has played every minute in goal for the Mocs and has a 1.16 goals against average.

ABOUT MERCER (11-4-3, 5-2-2 SoCon)
The Bears opened the season with a five-game non-conference unbeaten streak that included a four-game win streak as well as an exhibition 3-0 win over Auburn. In league play, Mercer posted three shutouts falling only to the SoCon's top two teams. The team averages 2.39 goals per game on an average 18.8 shots.

Larkin Thomason leads the Southern Conference with 34 points on 14 goals and six assists. Jada Moorman is tied for fourth with 20 points as well as nine goals. Sara Engels has four goals and four assists and is third on the team with 12 points. Lindsay Bell has played all 18 games in goal for the Bears and is second with seven clean sheets. She has a 1.11 goals-against average and a 74.0 save percentage.
