Rusty Wright- Head Coach
On the Mocs victory.

"What a fun game to play in, right? We talked about this morning and yesterday, just going out there and pouring into each other and just playing your heart out for each other and seeing what happens, you know not worrying about the outcome. Lets just play until we can't anymore. That's all we said, is go out there and just focus on the fight. And I thought our kids did a phenomenal job with that today. I thought our coaches did a phenomenal job calling a great football game today, both sides of the ball."

The importance of the win.
"You go on the road in this league and find a way to win, thats what you do. Doesn't matter what it looks like. Remember the last time we were here, we were down 13 nothing at halftime and there is no question, our kids outplayed them."

On Journey's crucial play on 3rd down.
"The throw to Journey, the little screen down here, that was a big play man. I mean, you're sitting there, batted to balls down already, and we knew that guy was all over into the boundary. And you know, we are sitting there like, if we get this off this is going to be a first down, a big play. And we did. We finished off the drive."

The Defensive holdout.
"10 points. We gave up 10 points. They all played well. You have 10 points in a college football game when they had what? 200 something yards? The whole group played well."

Chris Victor- Sr. DE

On if this was the best football they've played this season as a defense
"I feel like our coaches put us in the right positions early. You know, even throughout the week, our coaches are, really, like, on to us about just winning the down. So I just felt like we were able to do that early and then just establish, like, where we was going to stand."

On playing against a mobile QB this week.
"For the most part, they prepare us, throughout our game, like I said our coaches they make sure that we're in the right spots to just make plays you know. So thank goodness we're playing the pocket QB on next week."

Beni Mwamba- Fr. DB
On the strong defensive first half.
"It was our best half of football. You know, we played to play to our strengths. You know, we just took what the offense gave us. We were able to get stops through our offense to go on the field and hopefully score some points."

On Mwamba's INT.
"Our coach said before the game, ETSU has an offensive line, they haven't played a defensive line like us today, and clearly it showed because our D line was able to get to the quarterback, stop the run, and allow the DBs to make some plays in the secondary. And so just our D line being good at what they do allows us to make plays, as you can see through the interception."

Sam Phillips- Jr. WR
On moving slow in the first half.
"Yeah, we just had to settle in and at halftime, just come together. We had a talk with Chase, Tyler… you know we weren't panicking."

On Journey Wyche's third down conversion.
"He's a great player. I mean, freshman coming in, making big time plays for us already. I mean, he's going to be a really great player."

On his TD reception.
"I hear my number called and I go and make plays."

Chase Artopoeus- Sr. QB

On today's tough first half.
"So I mean the first half, I actually think we were moving the ball relatively solid we're kind of just missing a couple of miscues, couple misfires on those crucial third downs in the red zone. Of course, they came out, played a little bit of a different defense than they played everybody else, like most people do for us. So at halftime, we kind of talked it over, got a couple of adjustments in."

On UTC's great defensive effort.
"You knew the defense was going to play well today. You know, they had a lot of energy coming into this. They have, you know, throughout the week of practice, they had little mistakes. It's tough going against them on those periods, so yeah I had some confidence in them."

On Journey Wyche's big play.
"Yeah, we called that play a couple of times last week coming to this week you know, we kind of had in our back pocket and on the most vital play of the whole game. So, I'm really happy the guys executed it, resulted in a big first down."
